How to add your blogger blog sitemap to your Google Webmaster tools ? - my blog readers often ask me this question. Unfortunately, Blogger blogs don't have real sitemap and you can't create it. But do you know that your RSS or Atom feed are some kind of sitemap?
'Why do I need to add sitemap to Google?' - Well, the short answer is : it will help Google to crawl your blog pages better and faster.
You can add your RSS feed to Google Webmaster Tools and Google will use it like sitemap of your blog.
How to add sitemap (RSS) to Google Webmaster Tools
1. Go to your Webmaster Tools
2. Your blog mast be added to Google webmaster tools, if not - read How to add Blogger blog to Google
3. Welcome back! ok, now choose your blog in webmaster tools dashboard (click on the link)
4. Go to 'Sitemaps' , and click 'Add a Sitemap'. Choose type: 'Add General Web Sitemap' and in the field put 'rss.xml' () . Click 'Add General Web Sitemap'.
5. Done, Cheers...

if you mean the refreshing (uploading) of rss by google - google will check your rss everyday (for updates)

Hi I am Pawan I have my blog www.maxxtech.blogspot.com and i have applied for Google index and also have verifed it but the problem is coming for my site map,i have feedburner account and my sitemap doesnot work .google says "url not found".when i search for my blog like "www.maxxtech.blogspot.com" no result comes but when i search "maxxtech.blogspot.com"it show the result . So i request you to help me.

You're awesome man! I was going around my elbow to get to.... well you get the picture. Even Google didn't give very clear instructions. Gotta hand it to you you made adding the site map to timtipper easy as falling off a bike.

I was stumped cos your screen shot looked different to what I saw - there was a button 'submit sitemap' under the url with a box at the end, but I worked it out. thanks so much not found this info anywhere else on the web
I just did it. Very easy. I was pulling my hair out reading Google's directions. Why can't they just explain it like you did instead of making it sound so complicated?
