5 Tips - How to Get Your Blog on the First Page of Google

How about 5 easy tips about how to get your blog on the first page of Google? Yeah, I see you are shaking your head and smiling. I think you are understand that if your blog will get on the first page of Google - you will get much more traffic to your blog, because bigger part of Google users use only first page of Google search results. That's why it is so important to get on the first page of search results. Believe me or not, but this method is working. For example, I have a collective social blog (or community) where everyone can make their own posts, share articles, tips, reviews and knowledge - Mocii.com, most of the posts are about Tech/Gadgets, reviews, how to's. It is also useful because you can submit an unique article there and put backlinks to your blog or posts from your blog (link will be without nofollow tag). So, all my posts on Mocii.com are on the first page of Google search results (most of them in Top 5, some of them on the first position!)

5 Tips - How to Get Your Blog on the First Page of Google:

  1. Submit posts with unique content. Your blog content must be unique, content is a king! Do not steal content from other blogs, Google will see everything! If you really like someone's post, you can re-wright it. Your content must be 99% unique. Don't wright every hour, it is too much. Submit 1-3 posts / day and keep this tempo.
  2. After you will create 10 posts on your blog, you must add your blog sitemap (rss) to Google Sitemap. If you have Blogger blog - use your RSS, if you are using, for example, Wordpress - create sitemap with Google Sitemap Generator or create your own sitemap. After adding - Google will crawl your sitemap everyday and he will know about all your new posts. Remember, Google will love you if you will have blog with good, quality and unique content.
  3. Add your blog and RSS to blogs and RSS catalogs and readers. Use Google to find them. This will give you lot of free backlinks and traffic.
  4. Submit some unique articles to article directories. Don't forget to put backlinks with anchors to your blog and to some of your posts. Articles must have the same subjects as your blog or post. Do not submit too often.
  5. Put your backlink everywhere where its possible. Put your link to
  6. DMOZ, make answers on Yahoo! Answers (use backlinks in your answers), make comments on different blogs, and submit your articles to social bookmarks.
    Cheers

Yahoo Buzz - review

Yahoo! Buzz is opened already (few days ago) , but in beta... and just for 100 chosen sites... and my blog is not there *crying*. So, What is Yahoo! Buzz? Lets do short review.

buzz-logo

Yahoo! Buzz is something like Digg. It is social bookmarking site, where you can put a short review of your (or someone else) content (post, article, news, video). Content is ranked based on votes, if you have good post - you will get alot of traffic, backlinks...

What is the different between Yahoo! Buzz and Digg?

Well, Digg content rank is  based on votes, rate of submitter, quantity of friends =). Yahoo! Buzz content rank is based on votes, search-term popularity, and what everyone is reading and emailing - right this instant.

Digg drives traffic directly to your site to read the full story, the same Yahoo! Buzz do.

People can rate your content on your site or on Digg, well, Buzz do the same.

The most popular content from Digg appears on the main page, the most popular content from Yahoo! Buzz appears on the Yahoo! HOMEPAGE!!!

The most interesting question is - How many traffic you can get from popular story, which will appears on the Yahoo! homepage? Hm... How about 1 000 000 unique visitors within 1 hour!!! After such avalanche of traffic your web server will be on fire =) But someone told me that they will rotate top stories and monitor the traffic they send, otherwise small sites will be burned alive =)

I'm overexcited and waiting for end of Beta. By the way, do you know, What is the best time for submitting stories and news on Digg? =)

Link Building: backlinks from Yahoo! Answers

You can get backlinks by answering on Yahoo! Answers. Because of Yahoo! Answers made by Yahoo! - your answer with backlink will be loved by search engines. Y! Answers ranked highly enough on low-competitive keywords and this is a gold mine for you =). In addition, Yahoo! Answers daily passes a huge amount of traffic, you should put a good answer with backlink in the popular theme and you will get a good part of this traffic. Moreover, it is not just the traffic, this is targeted traffic, which is better then search engines traffic.

2138500808_3f21c1119f_o

If you do not have an Yahoo! account, please, register (the same account you will use on Flickr and other Yahoo! services) and login.

First of all, you need to find a question for your keyword. For example, lets take keyword "speed reading" , type it in search field.

searchfield

Click search.

Now, to narrow the search, click the "Advanced"

2138165885_177a04025e_o

and select the item "Open Questions." These are questions without best answer.

2138185149_6db69d5715_o

Now click "Search" and see the results.

Here's a question:

2138995166_b7e97f6859_o

If you have the answer, please respond.

2139005562_a04b310c21_o

In the text, once or twice put the keyword. This will help answer rise in the results  of search in search engines.

2138232047_4f91677bf8_o

You may insert a link to your blog here.

You can also insert a link directly to the text, using <a href> </ a> tags, but Yahoo! not always aloud such answers. But  the "Know Your Source" is ok.

Of course, you can not know for sure whether your answer recognized as the best, but if your message will help a person to solve the problem, your chances greatly increase. You can also wright answers with backlinks to questions with "Best answer",  this also gives a certain effect.

The final comments

1. Your goal - is to get the maximum number of good and different backlinks. The more backlink weight of the blog, the higher its ranking in search engines.

2. Give to link building a certain number of hours a day, and follow the schedule.

3. Increase backlink weight gradually. From time to time, check their positions in search engines, and look how Yahoo! indexing your backlinks.

4. You do not need the traffic itself. Your goal - is to make money. Track conversion rates and highlight some time to test strategies that will enable you to increase revenue.

How to Organize Contest for blogger's and Get lot of Traffic and Backlinks

Organizing online blogger contest is a good way to increase traffic to your blog or website. Also you will get a lot of backlinks and your search engine presence will grow. How do you think John Chow become so popular? Yes, because of Blogger Contests.

Overall, its one of the easiest and interesting method of Link Building.

What kind of Contest you can make?king

It can be anything... for example:

Design contest (Who create coolest logo for your blog), Photoshop Contest, 'pimp your blog' contest, Best blogger girlfriend ... etc. The stupidest idea - the better contest =)

What do I need, to make Contest?

1. Name of the Contest - try to find something interesting.

2. Rules of your Contest.

3. How long your Contest will go: a week or a month or...

4. List of competitors.

5. Terms and conditions.

6. Feedback with you.

7. What is the point of your contest.

8. Sponsors - you can be your own sponsor, but you can easily find someone.

9. You need to have a good prize for a winner, it can be money, link, banner, review of his blog etc.

10. You need to have a Voting's for a winner.

There can be more staff, use your fantasy!

Where to promote my contest?

Here some links for you:

Tips:

Don't worry about the prize. You are not a Google, you can't make big prize for a winner. It can be 10, 20, 50 $ or link to the winner blog =)

Don't make hard contests ! You will get more competitors, if your contest will be easy.

Don't lie to competitors, if someone wins, just give him a prize. Don' create a virtual winner, its not fair!

Link Building: Backlinks from eBay blogs

Do you know eBay? Do you know that you can get backlinks from eBay? Well, now you know =) This is one of the high-quality link building trick.

All eBay members can create personal blogs. Just create your new blog here. After registration, you can create contextual links, with your own anchors, in the text and they are without no-follow tag!

Tip: You can create as many blogs as you want. Use anchors with quality keywords in your backlinks instead of simple link to your blog or website.

If you will make simple optimization of your eBay blog, the backlinks will be better.
